The first Play Human video has arrived! Stop Slow Down is the third track off the album and is featured today on the awesome site Emerging Indie Bands. The vid was shot by beautiful filmmaker JB Michael on a VERY cold day in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I hope it cools you off to watch it today on this scorcher!!! The release show is coming up this Wednesday eve at 8 at the Bowery Electric! Tix are available here.

Some of you have been asking me how I got into writing songs. I'm honored to have the opportunity to talk about that in Songwriting Scene, the essential blog of great singer-songwriter Sharon Goldman. How did you get started with your art or creative pursuit? Or are you still trying to make that happen? Let me know in a comment!
As a kid, playing cello was my everything, even more important than my other passions, like trading baseball cards. As a teen, I was thoroughly identified with cello and breathed its air through my every cell. I chose early on to make it my life and went on to study at conservatory.
While still a student at Juilliard, I played my first ‘un-classical’ session as a cellist. Read the rest here!

Very excited to offer my Cello Rock song, Same Old Song, as a free download here! Baeble Music says "Noah Hoffeld's cello rock is the new sound you never knew you needed." And Same Old Song "has an irresistible 80's feel with a beaming synth and tasty guitar licks…..honest and true." The pop-rock track is about indulging in the joys of the music you grew up on. Its the 6th track on the upcoming Play Human, which you can preorder here. The release show at The Bowery Electric will be on August 5th at 8, featuring guitarist Thad DeBrock, who just got off the road with David Byrne, the great Aaron Nevezie on bass and Dave Burnett, who did all the amazing drumming on Same Old Song and the album. Buy tix here and see you there!!!
