Hello Dear People!

Greetings from Almaty, Kazakhstan. I'm here playing a special concert with Ani Choying Drolma, the amazing Tibetan nun and singer of sacred music. The seasons are changing and Fall is in the air in this very diverse place, filled with people from all over the region. We're just east of China and just North of Kyrgyzstan. I will also be playing concerts with Krishna Das and Ani Choying, along with Lama Tenzin Sangpo in New York and Boston early next month- details here.

There's a lot of good news to report and share with you. In August, my brother and I released our debut Mantra Brothers album to a beautiful reception. It’s gotten some airplay and a wonderful review. The Sloppy Bhakti says it's “an album that is as fervently uplifting, energizing and bold, as it is haunting, dark, and immersive."

The album is now available at MantraBrothers.com and on iTunes and Spotify. If you can, please support us and the living arts in general by buying the CD or digital download! It goes a lonnnnng way and helps music to keep flowing in the world....

Also, string arrangements I wrote for the great singer songwriter Nadia Ackerman will be performed on 9/23 on NYC's lower east side. Ill be playing cello and would love to see you there.

Take care and I hope to see you very soon. Thank you for taking the time to read and stay involved.

With Love,

Noah

NEW - Invoke_frontcover_300RGB_10x10 FOR WEB.jpg

Dear Friends!

I’m so happy to announce the release of Mantra Brothers’ debut album Invoke. Mantra Brothers is the band my brother Jeremy and I created as a vessel for our love of mantras and music. We are beyond overjoyed to share it with you all. It's truly a labor of Love and we hope you will feel that Love in the sound.

The album is available for sale on our new website www.mantrabrothers.com which we hope you'll visit. There, you can read about our stories and inspirations, and buy the CD or digital version. Mantra Brothers Invoke is also on iTunes and you can stream it on Spotify.

Jeremy and I worked hard on the album for over two years, writing and collaborating with each other as well as with some amazing New York musicians- like his daughter, Elona Hoffeld, as well as Monica Behan and Niki Morisette on vocals, Linda May Oh (Fabian Almazan, Pat Metheny, et al) on bass, and other great string playing buddies creating a big orchestral layer. The resulting sound is rich and textured, while deeply devotional.

If you're a facebook person, our Mantra Brothers Page is a very active one, which you can Like and follow along. Its a great way to keep in touch.

As always, I deeply appreciate your love and support. Our goal is to spread love and healing through sound, and you are helping to make that happen. Thank you for taking the time with us!

In love and gratitude,

Noah

New Album Coming this August!

I’m so excited to announce the upcoming release of Mantra Brothers’ debut album INVOKE on August 15th! Mantra Brothers is the band my brother Jeremy and I created as a vessel for our love of mantras and music. We can’t wait to share it with you all! We grew up playing music each in our own field- he in Jazz and me in Classical. But as time moved on, our mutual love of improvising gradually brought our sounds together. Later, we both got deeply involved in yoga, meditation and chant. Jeremy started writing some chants of his own which were really great and we got inspired to record an album of his and my own songs, all settings of mantras. The resulting recordings involve some of New York’s great musicians, along with Jeremy’s gorgeous horn playing and voice, his daughter’s beautiful vocals, and my vocals and cello, all atop a base of African and Indian percussion. I’ll keep you up to date as the release approaches! Thanks for all your love and support. 🌹🙏🏻❤️ Beautiful photo by DJ Pierce
