One Family Video for Martin Luther King Day

Happy MLK Week 2021!! Dr. King’s Dream is alive and well and more relevant than ever. My song One Family celebrates the Dream and all that it has accomplished, while reminding us that there’s still a long road ahead. We can’t back down now.

This year has been a tough one on every level and the lack of racial justice was hard to take in. But at the same time, I believe it was an opportunity for everyone to see what’s happening in a very clear light. There was no hiding the images circulated on the news and online. In the end, I believe that opportunity will lead to change for the better.

I’m wishing you all a restful and a hopeful Martin Luther King Day and I hope to hear from you too!

PS the song is available for download in our shop, and on Spotify at http://bit.ly/Hoffeld

Stay safe and stay well.

Noah

w/ Luke Rathborne and Rain Phoenix!

Dear Lovely People,

I hope you're all well as can be, and enjoying the holiday after-glow. I had a very mellow one, as I'm sure most of you did too. It has its merits! I do find that making time to put attention on the good in my life, and to feel appreciation and gratitude, is an immensely powerful thing. It sets my mind at ease and at balance, reminds me that not all is wrong. There are some very positive things goin on, inside and out. Though that's definitely not the focus in the press, it's still very much true.

One fun thing I did recently was to record cello for Luke Rathborne's new Christmas song, featuring Rain Phoenix, the wonderful actress and singer (sister of Jaoquin and River Phoenix). The cello part was done remotely from my home studio of course! And (like most great Xmas songs) was the result of a collaboration between numerous Jews 🤣 If you don't believe me, just google the phenomenon!

Luke and I have been playing together for years. He's a great and original singer-songwriter that I'm very proud to be associated with.  Click the image above to watch the Magnet Magazine Premiere!

Stay warm, stay well,

New(Ish) Releases!

Dear Lovely People,

I hope you're all well as can be, all considered. These times have been very trying for everyone and one of the most difficult things it seems is to remain connected to one another. I hope this email helps in some small way. One other way I find helpful is just to contemplate the amazing connections that we share, whether we are apart or close. In my heart, I can feel the part of me that is you, and the part of you that is me. That’s the reality in this world. On some level, we’re never far apart. And I’m grateful for that.

For the past months I've been doing some recording and mixing for folks who are far away, from my home studio. It’s wonderful to note that we’re still able to make music together, and the distance is not so far after all. Here’s a sampling of some great music that I’ve lucky to be a part of recently. I hope you can support these artists and have a listen to their work 🤗

First released was a stunning track by amazing composer/producer Bryan Senti on 7K! Records, part of a compilation called String Layers:

Then, a great recording from a few years back was remastered and released by amazing vocalist Loire Cotler, along with multi-grammy-winning percussionist Glen Velez and VK Raman on Indian Flutes:

Finally, I recorded several tracks via Zoom for a wonderful album of devotional music, including a tribute to my teacher, Ram Dass, by Adam Bauer. I love this album:

Stay tuned for more new releases, including an original album of meditative music for cello, piano, tabla and fretless bass, coming soon! While you’re on Spotify, please follow me there. Your support is deeply appreciated.

Take care and stay well.
